RASHFORD FAILS TO EQUAL CHICHARITO RECORD

England international Marcus Rashford was unable to match the Manchester United substitutes’ goal-scoring record held by Los Angeles Galaxy (LA Galaxy) striker Javier Hernandez also known as Chicharito. Rashford came close to equalling the record but the Englishman could not do it when he came off the bench against Brighton and Hove Albion in a rescheduled league match at Old Trafford a few days ago.

Chicharito holds the record for the most successive matches in which a Manchester United substitute found the back of the net. The Mexican international set the record in 2012 after he scored for Manchester United in three successive Premier League games as a substitute. Chicharito came off the bench to score in the away wins over Aston Villa and Chelsea before he repeated the feat during the home game against London team Queens Park Rangers (QPR).
