LA Galaxy striker Javier Hernandez won’t form part of Mexico’s World Cup squad, says national boss Gerardo Martino. Despite being El Tri’s all-time top scorer with 52 goals, the 34-year-old is set to be one of the big name absentees from this winter’s showpiece in Qatar. Martino has four centre-forwards in training for Mexico’s World Cup warm-up matches this week but the former Barcelona manager has confirmed that he will take only three strikers to Qatar.

However, Martino has confirmed that the door is firmly shut on Hernandez potentially playing in a fourth World Cup. Martino delivered the crushing news to Hernandez via a press conference which was held at LA Galaxy’s home ground, from which the Little Pea currently plays his club football. When asked about the sttiker’s possible participation at the forthcoming World Cup,  the manager said in the case of Chicharito, they are simply going with other forwards. Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has drawn a comparison between Liverpool attacker DivockOrigi and the Ex-Manchester United duo of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Los Angeles (LA) Galaxy star Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandezin the way they impact their teams off the bench. Ex-Leeds United and West Ham United central defender Ferdinand talked about Javier Hernandez, Ole Gunnar Solskjaerand DivockOrigivia quotes revealed by the Liverpool ECHO.

According to Ferdinand, players like Chicharito, Solskjaer and Origi who come off the bench to have an impact on the game regularly are integral to their teams. He further said that these players are loved by their teammates as they know their importance to the team. Ferdinand pointed out the importance of Solskjaer and Chicharitoas super subs at Manchester United and that Origi is as important to Liverpool. Ferdinand shared the Manchester United dressing room with Javier Hernandez and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at various times.

LA Galaxy striker Javier Hernandez has been impressed with the quality shown by American international Christian Pulisic in the Premier League. Chicharito as he’s fondly called spoke about Pulisic shortly before the Champions League final on Saturday.

Chicharito described Pulisic as a top talent and that he’s not surprised that the former Borussia Dortmund attacker is playing for one of the best clubs in the world. Javier Hernandez said this in one of his recent interviews monitored by media portal HITC.

Mexican international striker Javier Hernandez, popularly known as Chicharito, is the poster boy of the MLS (Major League Soccer) after he was finally lured to the league from European football by Los Angeles Galaxy (LA Galaxy). Here are ten little known facts about Chicharito:

• Chicharitowas signed by Manchester United from local club Chivas de Guadalajara in Mexico in 2010. His grandfather and father also played for Chivas de Guadalajara during their respective football careers.
• The 32-year-old is the second highest paid player in the MLS with an annual salary of $7.2m.
• Chicharito helped Manchester United qualify for the Champions League final in his debut season. He scored four times enroute the final. Javier Hernandez was the first Mexican to play in the Champions League final. He played all 90 minutes as Manchester United were beaten 3-1 by Spanish club Barcelona at the Wembley Stadium in England.
