Only beside Ham’s celebration, the Fulham’s were seen giving reactions to Chicharito’s goal. The question that arises now is that would it have been better on the part of West to disallow the goal since it was clearly a handball?

Miguel Layun: Juan Carlos Osorio did not deserve fan criticism

Mexico international Miquel Layun has said that former national team coach Juan Carlos Osorio did not deserve the criticism from the fans. The Colombian guided El Tri to yet another World Cup but they were not able to break the Quinto Partido curse as they were ousted during the round of 16 stage.

CHICHARITO TO REMAIN AT LONDON STADIUM

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez is set to remain at the London Stadium for much longer as new West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrinihas assured him of a central role in the team, as per reports. The Chilean has been charged with restoring the prestige of the club. He has promised to bring back attacking football to the east London side.

Despite heavy spending in the past two seasons, the Hammers have not had commensurate improvements. They flirted with the danger zones both terms and require re-engineering to return on track. Pellegrini excelled at Malaga and Manchester city with the 4-2-2 and 4-3-3 formation respectively.With the attacking football he is preaching, the coach would need to drop some key players, rework the starting 11 and possibly add some of his own.

CHICHARITO TO PLAY ON AS CARROLL RESUMES

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandezis set to continue for West Ham United despite the return of Andy Carroll to the setup.


The Mexican has helped the team become an attacking threat as he retains his trademark rebound style. His small size but swift nature and good positioning skill upfront have started yielding results. He would play along with the oft-injured but dangerous Carroll who returns to action.

With Carroll fighting off defenders with his height and experience, Chicharito can better play the fox in the box role to get goals. Playing as a sole striker upfront where he would be required to hold up play has been frustrating so far. With the England international taking over such duties, the Irons should get better returns from Chicharito.
