The ex-Manchester United centre back criticised LVG for the sale of  Chicharito, Danny Welbeck and Rafael da Silva while he was on FIVE YouTube channel. According to the club legend, LVG should have held on to the services of the three players.

Chicharito left Manchester United to join German Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen before making a return to the Premier League in the colours of West Ham United. The Mexican international is now plying his trade in the MLS (Major League Soccer) with Los Angeles Galaxy (LA Galaxy) as one of their designated players.

On his part, England international striker Welbeck left the Red Devils for rivals Arsenal in the Premier League in a £16m deal and was replaced by Colombian international striker Radamel Falcao who flopped badly at Old Trafford.

Welbeck left Arsenal two years ago at the end of his contract with the North London club and he went on to join Watford on a free transfer at the start of last season. The ex-Sunderland player terminated his Watford contract when the Hornets suffered relegation from the top flight last season. He now plays for Brighton and Hove Albion whom he joined as a free agent in October 2020.

Rafael da Silva plays for Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish top flight having joined the league champions at the end of his Lyon contract last summer. The Brazilian right-back left Manchester United to join French club Lyon in 2015.
