Chicharito ready for Confederations Cup

Mexico striker Chicharito said that he is ready for the Confederations Cup which will be held in Russia during the summer.

The player has been suffering repetitive injuries this season and has just returned to this club in the closing stage of the season.

He admitted that this season has not been easy on the injury front as he has spent more time on the bench than on the pitch. However, he believes that this rough patch is behind him and that he will be ready for the Confederations Cup.

Chicharito said that he has good memories of this tournament in Brazil as he scored 3 goals. Unfortunately for him, his team did not go pass the group stage, and he could not add to his tally in this particular tournament.

The Mexico striker said that he would be hoping that his good form continues in the Confederations Cup and that he will be able to score more goals.

He said that ever since his return from injury he has been working hard in training in order to recover his form as well as match sharpness and he feels that he is on the right track at the moment. He believes that there is still some time before the start of the Confederations Cup and that he will become better until then.

He believes that Mexico has a good chance in this tournament and that the objective of the team is to use this tournament to prepare themselves for the upcoming World Cup. He said that the previous competition was a nightmare and that they would want to get at least out of the group stage this time.

There is a good team spirit and that each player is determined to give their best to represent their country.
